DbSchema Layouts
Graphical interaction with the schema
The interaction with the database schema works over layouts. Tables can be added to layout by drag and drop or
by pressing the small arrow icon near columns.
Edit Tables in Layout

Just double-click a column or table to edit it, or drag a column over another to create a foreign key.
Open Multiple Layouts
To have a better understanding of the schema you can create multiple layouts, each focused on a specific part of the schema.
A table can be added in more than one layout...
Add Tables to Layout by following Foreign Keys
Add a table to a layout by clicking the Foreign Key icon on the right of the column name.
This icon indicates the presence of a foreign key to or from this column.
Drag & Drop Tables in Layout
By pressing the '+' ( plus ) button on the top-right of the layouts pane you can create an empty layout.
Than add a table to layout by drag and drop from the left Structure Pane.
Two Modes of Drawing the Foreign Key Lines
From the menu you can choose one of two modes of drawing the Foreign Key lines.
You have a direct draw mode where the lines are drawn directly between tables and a joined to column mode where
the lines are pointing exactly to the columns used by the Foreign Key. In this case more lines may join together in a single line.
Show Column Data Types in Layout
In menu you have an option of showing the column data type directly in the Layout.
Printing
DbSchema does print the best quality layout images. You can also print the layouts as images or
generate HTML documentation including small-size vector images.
