arraylist vs. list vs. map Data Types

Post by ejbless » Thu Sep 15, 2016 2:28 pm

Please clarify the difference in what DbSchema lists as Data Types of arraylist, list and map, in terms of the MongoDB type they are meant to represent. Thanks

DbSchema recognizes Lists ( can be ArrayLists as well ) and Maps. Considering a JSON which has a subdocument, this will be represented as a separate entity in the diagram. If there is a list with sub-documents, a cross-foot ( like multiple 1:N ) line will be drawn to this. This is the way to recognize when is a List in the diagram. Please let me know if you need more clarifications. We are actually working to add more improvements for MongoDb, keep up to date with next versions.

Its working very well. Thanks for your advice.

Another question. How can I put labels in the script so something like pres_title has a label called Title for the viewers of the data?
