Ability to see in the diagram which fields are mandatory

Postby mgoldberg » Thu Dec 15, 2011 9:58 pm

Hi --

My company is evaluating your modeling tool. We really like what we see with the product, but one of the things that is important to us is to be able to visually look at a model and be able to tell which fields are mandatory (i.e. not null columns) in a table.

Either a symbol next to the column or actually being able to toggle a display for null/not null would work for us.

Thanks,
Michael

Hello Michael,

This feature it's already available in DbSchema, the difference it's the color of the column, by default it's set to a light gray, but you can also modify the colors of tables, columns, etc... from the appearance configuration menu on the bottom right of dbschema.
I will suggest your feature also to our software engineers.
Best Regards,

Steve

Thank you for pointing that out. I completely missed noticing that the non-mandatory columns were a lighter color than the mandatory columns.
